    BlacKkKlansman

Did anyone else check out Spike Lee's new film, BlacKkKlansman? If so, what did you think? I thought it was excellent! I tend to enjoy Lee's particular combination of poignant observations matched with a very visceral style of direction and this is another one of those sorts of movies very much. He has a pretty unique sensibility.

I thought it was supposed a comedy, in which case probably eventually watch it. al reminds me of an old Chappel skit

Though it certainly has gleeful, comedic elements, at its heart BlacKkKlansman is a serious movie that actually relates to current events a lot and also includes smart (though sometimes hypocritical) critiques of the history of cinema (which I find a fascinating thing for a movie director to do).

I din know Spike Lee made anything but white guilt -- black pride movies, so I guess I don't have a sense of his sensibility.

But then I've never seen a Spike Lee movie in my life and don't intend to ever see a Spike Lee movie in my life. Looks like I'll make it.

No no no @Lummy, this is just Spike Lee doing his part for racial unity.

Based on a true story but I will wait for free.
When Donald Trump said to protest “peacefully”, he meant violence.

When he told protesters to “go home”, he meant stay for an insurrection.

And when he told Brad Raffensperger to implement “whatever the correct legal remedy is”, he meant fraud.

    War is peace.

    Freedom is slavery.

    Ignorance is strength.

Was not based on a true story nor did it go by the book. I didn't see it but read about it. Nothing but fables again.
