Ok, folks, step up those that care. The Ohio State University will issue its decision on Urban Meyer's fate likely on Wednesday. He has been suspended since early August for lack of candor with a reporter about an ESPN article. He denied knowing anything about an assistant coach allegedly assaulting his ex-wife in 2015. The coach was never arrested, never charged. It turns out that Meyer did know and had followed proper protocol when he learned by reporting it up the chain -- he said that he was just caught off guard at the Big Ten Press Conference when he said what he said. There's some thought in Ohio that he will receive a 1-2 game sacrificial suspension so that OSU doesn't hear about it for the next 16 weeks. Remember, this ex-coach is the grandson of a coaching legend at Ohio State. Some think the grand sin here is not firing him in 2015, not the lack of candor with the reporter. If you care to, please comment on whether Gene Smith will be fired.
I am making this a tpf thread b/c of the many Ohio State haters and SEC lovers.
