Post NASCAR driver loses sponsorship over father’s 30-year old racial slur.

NASCAR driving loses sponsorship over father’s 30-year old racial slur. This took place before the driver was born. Personally, I dislike the sport but this seems ridiculous. Someone losing their job and endorsements over the use of racial slurs and racism in general is now common news. While I'm generally not a fan of people losing their livelihood over things they say, tweet, or otherwise express while away from their job, I have a hard time finding enough sympathy to be willing to go to bat for racists. Conor Daly, on the other hand, is evidence that society has lost it on the larger principle. Children are now being punished for the sins of their parents.https://es.pn/2BHqCSuAttachment 24186

So is this a new twist to restitution, destroy future generations of someone accused of racial slurs?

This is a scary precedence and could impact many of us if it's allowed. I have no idea if any of my ancestors have said or done something questionable.

Yes, PC has created a whole new set of problems. The road to hell is paved by good intentions. I guess sometimes we have to endure these situations in order to correct ourselves. But damn, it sure is painful going through it. Lol

Anthro last semester, gender studies, we were presented with a list of 50 nouns that alternative people like to be called. Imagine that, 50 names which can lead a person into a trap by calling someone the wrong title. Ma'am, sir, Mr., Miss, Mrs., all can lead you into trouble with the wrong person, even though it was offered as a respect.
I was raised that Mrs. or Mr. was a sign of respect and position, now it is best guess possible with the wrong choice that could lead to legal action at the worst.
Pick a label out of the hat would be a better chance of getting getting it right...........sigh

Society's larger principle is that there are different races, as well as known differences between them, that can never be reconciled as long as there are Gentile whites, who, as line #5 states, "...have a hard time finding enough sympathy to be willing to go to bat for racists." But his father is the one alleged to have said it, but someone new is another racist. You are the kind, that when times get harder, do be sure to not be there for any of the real white fascists. Because the only ones who were dedicated enough, as well as had a willingness to show for it, was the German SS Gestapo that swept the criminal elements off of the streets. And so then, after detesting the "Nazis", the communist-democratic Weimar Republic continued right on inside of the United States. What democracy votes for, it may eventually get.

The worst was not when women were given the right to vote. It was giving the semblance of identity that white men would stand up to the issues of then, and not be whipped into the feelings they had to cater to taking the most dangerous, unnecessary route. 'Oh, Germany just struck the Lusitania, so for war we vote'. How easy the masses have been to control. And so for the same system, they continued to vote. As for the sinking of the Lusitania, Winston Churchill and F.D.R. both had a part in it. And so the lands will be divided apart. That's because racial separation is best. That's because democracies have always created the most weakest of excuses to allow what is bad to rage inside of societies on their way out. They were the reason why things finally broke apart. The Kamose Stelas are a work of art.

If this were turned around the right wing whiners would be claiming businesses have a right to discriminate and call a fellow human whatever or not even bake them a cake. Hypocrisy is so pronounced on the right good thing it's not water or they'd be flooded daily.
