Multiple casualties have been reported after a bus and semi-truck crashed into each other in New Mexico.
The highway has been shut down on I-40 near Thoreau. A nearby hospital was reportedly told to expect at least 8 patients from the wreck. It is not clear what caused the accident

The semi-truck had a blowout which undoubtedly caused it to cross the center line. There will be an investigation to see whether the owner of the truck took proper care to maintain the tires. Sadly 7 people on the bus died. There will be wrongful death suits in addition to the personal injury suits by those who were injured.Originally Posted by roadmaster

Half the time they don't even know they had a blow out . Or so I'm told when I ask why nobody ever moves them out of the road

It depends on whether the blowout is on the truck or on the trailer.
