If the top 10% is paying 80% of the taxes, and you cut taxes, the 10% will get 80% of the tax cut.

but that's not the way it's been working. Tax cuts have been more targeted in the last twenty years or so. The very wealthy are progressively paying a higher percentage of the income tax collected. While the lower income people are paying less and less. More are ebpverythingeveeven being excerpted fromr paying the federal income tax all together.

The phrase "tax cuts" is also a bit misleading. While rates may be cut, that doesn't necessarily mean one pays less in real dollars. The just pay less as a percentage of their income. Generally cuts in tax rates result in more economic activity and economic growth. Tax revenues into government then increase.

Cuts in tax rates do not need to be "paid for" as liberals always claim. What needs to be done is to stop the trend of raising spending more than the raise in revenues.
