Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii is considering running for president in 2020, a source with direct knowledge of her deliberations told POLITICO.
Rania Batrice, an adviser to the progressive congresswoman and deputy campaign manager on Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign, has been putting out feelers for digital and speechwriting staff for Gabbard. One person approached about the positions say that 2020 wasn’t mentioned explicitly, but it was heavily implied.
Batrice denied that the staffers are being hired for a presidential campaign. She did not dispute, however, that Gabbard is considering joining what’s expected to be a crowded field of Democratic presidential contenders.
“I think everybody is focused on 2018, but we will see what happens after that,” Batrice said in an interview. “Someone like Tulsi, with her experience, is an important voice in the party and the country.”
Top aides to Gabbard did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

We are all brothers and sisters in humanity. We are all made from the same dust of stars. We cannot be separated because all life is interconnected.
I'm sure she's very bright, but there's no point in this whatsoever. Is it like conquering Mount Everest to women, realizing some lofty, ridiculous goal that everyone gets forced to pay for in highly unpleasant social readjustments that amounts to absolutely nothing at the end of the day? Women running for president -- is this why all the male emasculation and gender bending? Is this how pop culture defines matrilineal society?
Yup.
Nothing good is developing from it, it sure ain't in the Bible, and I'm sick of it, myself. Women succeed generally because men are criminalized so women can pass them. Women of merit have always succeeded, so you know the entire rationale is mostly political bull$#@! at the get-go.
If there are good reasons to step aside and allow women into places they, for the most part, shouldn't be, what are those reasons?
Because it's cool? Trendy? Inconsequential?
I would select the third answer. We are becoming ridiculous.
