Yemen needs a voice, so 18.4 million lives can be saved

I am starting this thread because the people of Yemen desperately need our voice. The people of Yemen are in a humanitarian crisis. This should be spoken up about every single day until something is done. If we do not have sufficient evidence because there is a media ban in Yemen you should just report what you do know. I mentioned this extensivley in my other thread but it is not enough. We need to speak up, peoples lives depend on our voices.

There has been a complete media blackout for a very long time. But the silence is being broken on the atrocities in Yemen. If we do not speak up 18.4 million people could die. We are bombing their critical infastructure. They have had bad inflation on their money and the value of their dollar has changed. Prices on goods and food have gone up by up tp 500%. Not only are they starving due to the bombing of their infrastructure, but also because they can no longer afford food. There is still a part of Yemen that is government controlled and they are not facing the exact same crisis as the rest of Yemen.

The silence is starting to be broken, but they are still not reporting on the full extent to what is really happening.

Our voices matter, lives depend on it. If we can prevent this by speaking up let us speak. This is a US backed war, and it is being waged on the lives of the most innocent. If we bring awareness, we can make it end. We have more power than we realize.

The media should be reporting on this every single day as the main headlines, this is much more important than the frivolous news being reported.

Who will be paying for these alleged war crimes, and in what way?

One person who tweeted, wrote: > "The US and Britain has been assisting Saudi Arabia's military strikes in Yemen for 3 years. Thousands of civilians have died. There is no war in Yemen. There is a mass slaughterfest, courtesy Saudi Arabia, with weapons provided by the United States and Great Britain."

Another wrote: > "Why are U.S. boots on the ground in YEMEN. Stars and stripes first reported this in May 2016."

A reply in August 2018: > "I first learned of boots on ground about 4 mo ago...green beret on north border between Saudi & Yemen. Supposedly US troops did not go into Yemen side. Our navy helped with blockade also. This supposedly was kept from Congress, part of Trump’s secrecy of his strategy militarily."

Another tweet in August 2018: > "Saying it again & again: These are American-made bombs dropped on children by the Saudis and Emiratis with refueling and targeting support from the US Army. America and Britain is just as complicit as Saudi & UAE in #YEMEN war crimes..."

This is a tragedy which must be addressed, since it will not go away, as promises were made to MAGA.

True, there are some that don't care because they don't believe it, or some just don't know about it. But some others think it is ok because we are making money by killing them. They say it is all about us first. We are raking it in with massive arms deals, and making America great again. Some think it is fine as long as we prosper from it. We are making so much money off of the deaths of innocent civilians. Some seem to argue with me that it is no big deal that 18.4 million could starve to death, because we come first. It's worse than Hitler, worse that stalin, worse than Mussolini. I am certain that the people who tell me that don't truly understand what they are saying if they did they wouldn't be able to utter such words.

I think that if the majority of real people in this nation knew what was really happening they wouldn't stand for it. It is unconscionable.

70K bombs dropped under bush's entire term
100K bombs dropped under Obamas entire term
44K dropped just in Trumps first year a bomb every 12 minutes
I wonder how many lives that took?

Bur, in this case we are supplying arms to others also who are mass murdering with our arms, and our help. US backed genocide.
He's in it for the money bombs are expensive. It makes jobs. Peoples lives don't matter no matter how precious or how innocent.

But "Just" you know that our interventions have nothing to do with humanitarian suffering. Those awful facts are simply marketing tools to gain public support and recruits for wars that USED to benefit National security but now DAMAGE national security . It's OK though because they still benefit the super rich and politicians.

Americans won't care about what happens in Yemen unless they're told to care by the government and the media.

As it stands, what little they have said about Yemen leans heavily in favor of Saudi Arabia.

Given that, many Americans, if they bother to say anything about Yemen, will attempt to rationalize and/or justify what is essentially the Holocaust of the 21st century with lame references to Iran's "malign influence" in the region, as if Iran is so bad that containing them legitimizes the starvation of millions of innocent people.

So I commend your desire to discuss this momentous issue, but the most you can expect will be brainless parroting of government talking points.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

Where's the concern for Ethiopia and Sudan and any other place? Seems pretty choosy to me. Where's the concern for Chad? More of an anti-SA rant than true concern.
