I recall during the Iraq War an organization called Lancet put a report out of Johns Hopkins that claimed like 800,000 had died in Iraq during the Iraq War. Upon further review, it was found that a form of counting was used called cluster counting(the same computer models being used here to come up with 3000).
You take a 'survey' of reported deaths in a few areas and extrapolate it over the entire population of the entire nation. In Iraq as an example, areas of Iraq saw extreme violence, many areas did not but the entire purpose of the survey was to attack Bush right before elections.
That's what's going on here. Let's not forget, this thread was started by someone who believes Barack Obama lowered our national debt. Someone else told him that, he believed it hook, line, and sinker. So, whatever the media brings to him here, he reports without verification as it's a political point. Not one of serious content.
