Judicial Watch Files Ethics Complaint Against Sen. Cory Booker For Violating Senate R

SPARTICUS!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO it was really BUFFOONICUS

The government watchdog group Judicial Watch delivered a letter on Wednesday to the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Ethics requesting that it investigate Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) for his "admitted violation [of] Senate rules by releasing confidential records through his social media accounts," said the organization in a Sept. 12 press release.
In a Sept. 7 tweet, Sen. Booker said, "I broke committee rules by reading from 'committee confidential' docs." Also, in a Sept. 9 Facebook post, Booker said, "And the classification of many documents as “Committee Confidential” is a sham… I willfully violate these sham rules. I fully accept any consequences that might arise from my actions including expulsion."

The Democratic senator also opened a Dropbox account that is accessible to the public. It contains documents and is headed, “Booker Confidential – Kavanaugh Hearing Documents."

Senator Booker, in an absurd invocation of ‘Spartacus,’ explicitly invited his expulsion from the Senate in his egregious violation of the rules and contempt for the rule of law and the Constitution,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

“Will the Senate assert the rule of law in the Booker case or allow mob rule to be the new standard?” asked Fitton.

In the letter to the chairman and co-chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Ethics, Judicial Watch cites the Senate rules and potential consequences of releasing confidential records.

I don't understand, Booker made a fool of himself, as did some Dem grandstanders, by claiming to make public, confidential materials that in fact had been released to the public as requested by he and his staff the day before. What's this about ??
It's ok if you disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

Judicial watch is just another part of the RWNJ propaganda machine. Yes, I know you kids take them seriously but nobody else really does.

Except all those Judges that rule in their favor over FOIA's. Forcing the release of information. But then I guess you weren't going for accuracy, huh?

Granting a going request does not equal taking them seriously. If there's no legal reason to deny it they gmhave to release it. It's kinda their job.

Except that doesn't work out to well when some agency or dept is fighting the release. So again that part about others not taking JW seriously. Just isn't factual nor true.

Correct, what Booker did was a political stunt which backfired and made him look like a fool. Other than embarrassing himself, I don't see the big deal here.

No. They are a public service organization which exposes corruption or the misdeeds of the judicial branch. You should be a supporter of that.
