Other predictions, spot on. Sea level rise. Stratospheric cooling. Decreased outgoing longwave in GHG bands. Increased backradiation. The tropospheric "hotspot". Polar amplification. Antarctic sea ice expansion before a decline. A lot of it very non-obvious, and all of it right. Impressive indeed.

In contrast, your side generally lacks the guts to predict anything. The only thing you've been willing to predict in the past 40 years is imminent cooling, and that's always been totally wrong.

That's why some believe in fortune tellers, they focus on the few correct predictions and ignore the many incorrect ones. None predicted the global warming hiatus. The IPCC keeps cutting back on its predictions.

Not really, it's already well documented and widely accepted regardless of what the flat earther propaganda claims.

And I won't bicker that with you, it doesn't matter to me that you drank the corporatist Kool aid.

    Carry on, flat earthers

Do you mean the so-called scientific consensus? Hope not, as that's politics and not science.

Nice inuendo, cap, doubt anyone buys it.

You mean you discount the solar scientists or anyone that questions the alarmist dogma?
When Donald Trump said to protest “peacefully”, he meant violence.

When he told protesters to “go home”, he meant stay for an insurrection.

And when he told Brad Raffensperger to implement “whatever the correct legal remedy is”, he meant fraud.

    War is peace.

    Freedom is slavery.

    Ignorance is strength.

The above two responses are why I don't engage the bickering. When you have to project then you're selling something and I don't want sales pitches, I want honesty. Flat earthers aren't honest, they're selling a propaganda product.

Hence all the dog whistle terms like alarmist which is a bit dramatic.

No thanks, I'm just simply pointing out the ignorance and institutionalization and head-in-the-sanding going on.

Oh, stop bickering yourself, cap, you're contributing abbsolutely nothing.

BTW, I am not a denier, had you bothered to read this and many other threads on the topic I am a skeptic, somewhere between the deniers and the alarmist. I don't see how man existing in this earthly environment cannot have an effect on it. The question those skeptical scientists called climatologists ask is how much does man effect the climate and what ought to be done about it. Putting on political shoes, like other economists I respect ask, is what should be our prioroties in a world with so many other major problems from poverty to population, from water to war, etc. And then how do we go about finding and implementing solutins? Do we, as some alarmists demand, stop coal burning and other fossil fuel consumption, bring the economy to its knees, the very economy that would be needed to fund any solutions? Or do we find economically attractive solutions that people will buy into.

Take your head out o the sand, cap.

That's why it's basically equivalent to deny either.
Almost nobody denies that human CO2 emissions are contributing to some warming of the planet. The real question is how much? Thus far, the man-made global warming hypothesis has failed to answer that question with any precision, accuracy, or certainty. It's all just glorified guesswork in search of more research grants and tax revenues.

There are alarmists though. They exist. They're the ones who keep telling everyone that a catastrophe is looming and the only way to fix it is by granting governments more power to tax and regulate us. Oh, and we must continue to generously fund climate science research as well.
