Is this still a discussion about what makes a true atheist? LOL, Christians can't even agree on what makes a true christian, they just know how to tell if you're not one. Atheists are going to do the same thing. It's almost as if.. this is a people problem.

Assuming that true, it is irrelevant.
It tries to poorly make as equal as having faith in an imaginary being. It is not the same.
It is like having faith in your father, your best friend. It is more a tangible relation of trust in many cases. As an human, sometimes we have to put the trust with something, but even the state is something real, you have the faith that it will do the good. And, even in that case, as it is a humancreation, even having some faith on it, trust, you can ask for responsibilities in its behaviour.
However, for example reducing to your argument, you also put faith in things like your free market. You have absolute faith on it. It is your god.
