A blogger in Russia faces charges for inciting hatred of men.

Lyubov Kalugina is facing hate speech charges for many blog posts. One of the milder jokes features a woman holding a frying pan with the caption: "Beat up a brute, save Russia!" In August, Kalugina told the broadcasting outlet, Radio Free Europe Radio Liberty, that she believed in "separating women from men at all levels".

Article 282 prohibits hate speech against any identifiable group. Theoretically the offense can lead to prison time, but in reality Kalugina will at most suffer a small fine.

Count Dankula (Markus Meechan) was convicted by a Scottish court for Holocaust jokes. He only has to pay a fine of $1,200, but some people consider him a martyr.

OK. To rephrase the question -- should we defend Freedom of Speech of those who oppse other's Free Speech?

We don't defend freedom of speech in this country, why get involved with Russia? You want to defend freedom of speech start with some of the crap going on on our college campuses.

And what does freedom of speech mean to you? Should BLM be allowed to have marches? What about the Klan? Should Conservative speakers be banned from college campuses because "they will incite hatred"?

Everyone should be able to speak on College campuses -- I am for the free exchange of ideas.

Unfortunately, many Far Liberals oppose Free Speech for anyone who criticizes them.
