As well, I'm sure if any fellow woodsman struck up our national anthem on as much as a broken fiddle, y'all would remove your hats and stand to.

I spent some time hunting fish......few citations.....nothing special.....more the adventure.

Hotels don't depend on revenues from regular season games. The stadium vendors will suffer, but not the local bars and restaurants. Whether people go to the game or not, they are packed.

That's like saying Mardi Gras is too full. Away visitors spend money. IF they can pay for a $500 seat, they're not camping out at Yogi Bear Campground. Of it were me, I figured to have cut my loses and not attend. They have their protest, I have mine, so to speak. I may not buy next year............

Possibly, especially with the younger generations. There are many more entertainment options.

no, but I did sleep in a Holiday Inn in N'awlins...
monthly events do not generate money like the playoffs.
Stadiums are not packed every weekend. Granted there might be smaller vendor activities that might be used, gun shows, gem/jewelry shows, etc. But nothing drives local economies quite like the main event.
again, one does not have attend to notice the further reaching consequences.

Then perhaps they need to look to growing viewership rather than making political statements.
