NFL history is full of QB’s who looked they were going to be great players, but became an afterthought a couple years later.
That's what I'm seeing too. He seems smart and he's strong and has the guts to stand in the pocket till something comes open. He kind of reminds me of Roethlisberger. He's still learning. I saw an interview with him and his pro baseball player dad and he seems like a well brought up young man. I think he's going to be making my Broncos lives miserable unless they can neutralize him. I wish he was playing for another team because I have no use for the Chiefs. My dislike of them goes all the way back to the beginning of the AFL when they ditched Dallas as the Dallas Texans and became the Chiefs. Their coach was Hank Stram and he was a hated man in Denver. He was the kind of guy who could be leading another team 48 to 7 with 2 minutes left in the game and order an onside kick and then if they recovered and scored again order another onside kick.
I watched him play Sunday. He's a promising young QB, but he looked like an inexperienced QB at times.
He has a superb supporting cast. He has a great RB and excellent receivers. He has an offensive line which looks to be possibly the best in the NFL. The Chiefs are loaded with talent.
There are several QB's who would be great if they got that kind of protection and had his supporting cast.
