The Chiefs came close in the eighties but John Elway kept them from advancing to the big one, twice. Marty Shottenheimer must have felt cursed. The Browns had a real good team too and had a couple legitimate shots at the big one but John Elway spoiled it for Marty there too. John played his best football during those 4 playoff games but it took so much out of him he couldn't go on to carry the Broncos to wins in those superbowl games. Those playoff games between the Broncos and Chiefs and Broncos and Browns were some of the best I've ever experienced. I actually felt sorry for Bernie Kosar and Earnest Byner.

I live in Bengals country, but have been a Browns fan my whole life. When asked why I stick with them, my response is always the same. "I saw Jim Brown play, twice."

I honestly don't care if they ever play in a Super Bowl, but the last few seasons have been brutal. Counting down the number of beautiful Fall Sundays I have remaining, I almost hope the Browns are blocked on TV. That is truly sad!

Many things are possible. It's more likely he'll have a good year or two and fall off.
