Rosenstein Proposed Recording Trump, Using 25th Amendment To Oust Him Last Year

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein last year suggested secretly recording President Donald Trump and using the 25th Amendment to forcibly remove him from office, the New York Times reported Friday.

Per the Times, these suggestions came in the chaotic aftermath of Trump’s May 2017 move to abruptly fire James Comey as FBI director. Rosenstein spoke to other Justice Department and FBI officials about his concerns, some of which were memorialized in contemporaneous memos, sources told the newspaper.

Efforts to invoke the 25th Amendment to declare the president unfit to hold office would have required recruiting members of Trump’s own cabinet to the cause.

Rosenstein told Andrew McCabe, then acing FBI director, that he believed he could persuade Attorney General Jeff Sessions and John Kelly to join this effort, the Times reported.

The Times’ sources appeared to be critical of Rosenstein’s performance in his role:

In the end, the idea went nowhere, the officials said. But they called Mr. Rosenstein’s comments an example of how erratically he was behaving while he was taking part in the interviews for a replacement F.B.I. director, considering the appointment of a special counsel and otherwise running the day-to-day operations of the more than 100,000 people at the Justice Department.

    and?
Evidently nothing, because nothing came of it. Secretly wiretapping a sitting president and engaging in a fishing expedition is treason of the highest order. It'll have to be a FISA warrant, and those are next to impossible to get today, thanks to your coup plotters at the FBI.
Rosenstein needs to be dropped off at Gitmo.

5 questions after reading the Rod Rosenstein bombshell report

    https://www.cnn.com/2018/09/21/polit...ire/index.html

    1. Who leaked this?

    2. Was Rosenstein joking?

    3. Why didn't Rosenstein follow through on the wire or the 25th Amendment talk?

    4. Why is Rosenstein's denial of the 25th Amendment stuff in the present tense?

    5. Is Rosenstein the author of the anonymous New York Times op-ed?

When you listen to Trump, things that stand out are his lack of empathy and his constant distortion of reality. In human psychology there is one personalty type this fits perfectly and it is psychopathy. Given those traits the people around him must wonder if he is trustworthy etc and his constant comments on others from 'he's good' to 'he's bad' demonstrates the man even more. So is it any wonder those who work around consider him unfit? And it seems from leaks etc there are a lot of them.

you put up and adored one that uses "I" so many times in a speech, some are uncountable. he was a narcissist and believed he was the ultimate lawmaker by writing law and using EO's to end run Congress' job. He promise reduced premiums rates for insured, but only drove their prices up by as much as 5 times the cost before he got into office. He ignored the immigration issued by just throwing the border open.
And you are complaining about some business man making things better for all of us in the US, not some specific group, Obama was busy filling sensitive cabinet positions with Muslims with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood......
Oh, and can we say he tried to destroy Trump before he got out of office. It was his crew, after all, that are still working to unseat a duly elected president. Same crew that is destroying our justice system by encouraging the dems to hold up nominations to SCOTUS and punishing Trump for his win...yep, a real fine group of people

The only question that needs an answer is, are sufficient members of the present US government able to keep a check on the raving lunatic whom deplorables placed into power over the now remnants of what once was a responsible country.
