IT’S OFFICIAL: Kavanaugh Vote Set for Monday

The media lies, nothing has changed. She wants her conditions, doesn't want to be under oath, wants him to testify first. That is not the way it works, she is the accuser and she has the burden of proof not him. The R's need to go ahead for the vote.

The Republicans have a long history of caving in. Nearly every one of them ran on the promise to eliminate the ACA. As soon as they gained the majority they abandoned that promise.


The only time I can remember them not caving in was on the Garland nomination.


They are going to abandon kavanaugh and ask Trump to withdraw his nomination.

That's what the Demos want is Kavanaugh to withdraw. He has told everybody he will not. He is standing his ground.

Debra Katz & Co.: We Accept A Request to Testify, Maybe, But Only If We Can First Discuss More Specifics....

Attorney Debra S. Katz and her client, Professor Christine Blasey Ford, have "accepted" the Committee's request to testify next week before the Senate next week regarding Professor Ford's allegation that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexual assaulted her three decades ago, but have asked Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) for another meeting this afternoon to discuss specifics regarding the process in which the testimony will occur. Based on Debra Katz's request for more time to discuss specifics, it does not appear that they will actually testify under the proposed plan by the Senate Judiciary Committee.

"Dr. Ford accepts the Committee's request to provide her first-hand knowledge of Brett Kavanaugh's sexual misconduct next week," Katz's email read. But, she said the proposed order of business is "fundamentally inconsistent with the Committee's promise of a fair, impartial investigation into her allegations."

The Senate Judiciary Committee offered to Professor Ford's testimony on Wednesday, but it appears that her legal team believes this process to be unfair. Sen. Chuck Grassley originally threatened to hold the vote to confirm Kavanaugh on Monday if Katz and her team did not reach a reasonable agreement last night at 10:00 PM. They did not. Sen. Grassley then opted to give the Professor Ford's more time, until 2:30 PM today to come to sort of agreement. Based on this letter from Katz, it appears no agreement has been met. The 2:30 PM deadline was not an invitation to discuss more details, but to accept the Senate Judiciary Committee's offer. Katz and Ford did not accept their offer and instead made a counteroffer to discuss more details, thus delaying the process even further.

As Sen, Orrin Hatch noted, any more delay of this process seems to indicate this is simply about "politics."....snip~

Grassley put his foot down, no more games.

The Rodents had their chance to present their witness, they refused to accept the very generous and unprecedented re-opening of a Supreme Court confirmation hearing, and now the vote that should have happened this week is going to happen Monday.

The only thing official is that you don't know what you're posting about.

No, not this time. Grassley has been played and he is not going to let it go, Ford will not testify. The conditions she claims she wants will not be arranged. Grassley has gone as far as he is willing to go. He is a pissed off Senator.

Either Monday or Wednesday he will call the hearing to order. when she doesn't stand up he will call for a vote. The nonsense was a reach too far for the Dems.

Now, this is Saturday night and anything can happen after tonight but I'm saying she will not show up. She never was going to show up.

Your right, the word "dump" was not appropriate. Turning their backs on him is more appropriate.
