    According to the linked articles, it was a baby Chinese Pond turtle. The hatchlings are very small - maybe an inch wide. According to the article linked within the article that you linked, the woman had gone out partying on the beach, but could not recall what had happened that night. She probably passed out and some nasty piece of work inserted the turtle while she was unconscious. IOW, she was likely sexually assaulted - perhaps more than just having a turtle put inside her.
