In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

Here, read about Dixiecrats, from https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dixiecrat

The States' Rights Democratic Party (usually called the Dixiecrats) was a short-lived segregationist political party in the United States. It originated in 1948 as a breakaway faction of the Democratic Party determined to protect states' rights to legislate racial segregation from what its members regarded as an oppressive federal government.[1] Supporters assumed control of the state Democratic parties in part or in full in several Southern states. The Party opposed racial integration and wanted to retain Jim Crow laws and white supremacy in the face of possible federal intervention. Its members were referred to as "Dixiecrats", a portmanteau of "Dixie", referring to the Southern United States, and "Democrat".
1948. Segregationists. Johnson doesn't fit the time or purpose.

What do you base this Dixiecrat claim on?
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

It fits in temporal terms but I don't think Johnson supported Thurmond in the 1948 Election.

Man, the utter hate and $#@! heaped on me was pretty awful. One "fine upstanding patriot" tried his best to find out where i live so he "could go teach me a lesson about patriotism with his fists and if my kids were hime they could watch or be learn as well if they try to help me." Why did he say that? Because i told him that the Obama family is filth and vermin. I still say that and always will. *shrug*

Silver, have you ever posted anything political? It's a political forum is why I ask. We know all about you but your political opinions.

I know. It really doesn't make much sense that a segregationist
would have ultimately pushed through the CRA but he was in Congress at the time.
