Without empathy, the ability to at least imagine yourself in another's shoes, there can be no rational solutions that work in the real world. Thinking things through is really important, and can lead to better decision making. But sometimes, if a person's rationale is warped or based on things that just are not true, all the thinking in the world will not help them at all, nor other's around them.
Calling people "emotional", is just a lazy person's excuse to disregard and discredit someone. I'll just take it as you saying, "I had nothing to say, and can't really explain why, but I need to tell them they are irrational and stupid.".
Kudos to you. I accept your involuntary rejection and emotionally charged retaliation.
