BTW, this, 'why the rush' meme is silly. The average time from nomination to confirmation is 25 days. The longest ever was 125 days. Kavanaugh's has lasted 78, so there is no rush, just a stall.

that would be a suprise. I just saw Ramirez' attorney on TV and there seem to be a lot of shenanigans going on. Bottom line is these accusers don't trust the committee wanting to get to the truth, hence the call for an independent investigation. Why the rush?

*If in fact she’s refusing to testify, it’s probably because (a) either she’s sincerely unsure of her own story, which was clear enough already from the New Yorker piece (raising once again the question of why they published it) or (b) she’s already been inundated with so much frightening political blather from both sides, replete with death threats, that she wants no further part in this mess. It's obvious that the Democrats want to stall the vote on a Supreme Court justice until after the mid term elections. They are gambling that they will at least retake the Senate and then be able to block any Trump nominee.

This is completely transparent. They really don't care if they happen to ruin the life of a good man in that endeavor.

This might cause a massive back-lash against the Democrats in November.
