The Cities With The Fastest-Growing Economies

    Economic good news.

The Cities With The Fastest-Growing Economies

...Using data from the Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Bureau of Economic Analysis, National Venture Capital Association and Renwood RealtyTrac, and assigning each city a score based on its "sociodemographics" and its "job & economy," WalletHub ranked 515 cities on their recent economic growth. The results may surprise you.

    [interactive map at link]

According to WalletHub, the 10 cities with the fastest-growing economies are:

    1. Fort Myers, FL
    2. Midland, TX
    3. Pearland, TX
    4. Bend, OR
    5. McKinney, TX
    6. College Station, TX
    7. Lehigh Acres, FL
    8. Mount Pleasant, SC
    9. Enterprise, NV
    10. Irvine, CA

That's a lot of cities in Texas! What's more, Austin, TX came in as the top-ranked large city — defined as having more than 300,000 people — in economic growth. Clearly, the Lone Star State is having a moment....

Now don't get it in your head to move here to Texas!

I was in austin last year and was told they have a tech thing going on and saw that they have a tourism/convention thing going on. I live in NYS so we don't do economic growth, our politicians pretend, but we don't really do it. Especially north of "the city"

I live across the river from Mt. Pleasant. It has grown from a small town of 4,000 in 1975 or so to 80,000 today. It is an elitist place to live. Everyone there wants to live in Mt.Pleasant but complain of too many people there.

I must be too old. I really don't know what it means and I don't feel up to googling it.
