Racism - Democrats and Republicans switch sides?

Someone made the dumb comment again about how historically racist Democrats and historically anti-racist Republicans switched sides.

    BS.

The guy's a moron. If Republicans are all greedy, and Republicans are all fascists, and Republicans are all racist, you don't need or use a Venn diagram to describe it. A simple circle with the three labels on it would cover the situation nicely.

Egads how original was that, and so intelligent too. Piles of resentment, oh so sad, we are, oh they say we are, What BS. Seriously we live in a world of total BS from the right wing conservatives. Boo Hoo, poor republicans so sad so sad.

Rule number one, simply turn the argument around, accuse your opponent of the things he is accusing you of or you are even guilty of. Rule two, make stuff up, doesn't matter how ridiculous people believe if you say it often enough and they want to hold on to something.

In 1964 , especially in terms of the Civil Rights Act, support and opposition broke down along regional, not party, lines.

Let's put it like this, not a single southern republican voted for it. In the north a higher percentage of Democrats voted aye than republicans, and in the south a higher percentage of Democrats voted aye than Republicans. I thought everyone knew that.

Come back with some better information next time.
