    Hillary Clinton and "civility"

Well, I suppose that I should not be surprised.

Hillary Clinton now says that civility is a passe concept: "You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about."

Oh, for anyone interested, here is the link: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...ew/1578636002/

Since she once characterized those who dared to disagree with her left-wing political views as "deplorables," this is really not entirely surprising.

Nonetheless, it is a bit disappointing...

What is surprising is that these democrats think they are scaring people with their big yapping flappers.

I hope they continue to be uncivil and act like buffoons i

Hillary wants to fight, which should be a welcome change for both her followers and those who oppose her. For the followers, well, a liberal position with no civil disobedience is not going anywhere. It is a natural, necessary, and expected behavior. Indeed it is part of the definition of liberal. (A liberal by definition "liberates" the rest of the population from an unjust status quo)
So if Hillary wants to fight, that works for them.

For those opposed, fighting head on is what those-opposed typically know how to do. Taking the Republican Party as an example; they have never understood the tactics nor the strategy used by the Socialists, Thus, have never been able to mount an effective campaign. Republicans are looking for somebody to fight. Obama era strategy certainly never provided an opportunity for a head on fight.

Hillary however, can't help herself. In fact, the Socialist team of the Obama era would have had a bit of a problem with her. In fact, much like the Republicans do with President Trump. Both Hillary and Donald depend on two things; 1) charisma, and 2) "correct" is what they say it is. (autocratic)

Adding the word passe is an interesting adornment. But, passe is important. There is more at stake now. After President Nixon, and up until President Obama, those who would rule could pretty much get up and give their position on abortion and lie about tax reform. That was as complicated as elections were. Now? A very different time in history. Two opposing countries occupying the same physical space. So completely divided, one might ask whether there is a USA at all.

I am not personally a supporter of the contemporary liberal position, nor am I a Socialist, nor would I vote for Hillary.
But this time, I think she is right. I tend to agree with Hillary that things are too important now for yakking. It is going to take more
on both sides, or should I say for both of the congruent universes. Debate is gone, hate rules now.
We are going to have the fight. Try as you will, you won't be able to sit it out.

It would help if there were clearer differences between how the two main parties actually govern (as opposed to what they say). That way citizens would have something tangible to judge- which one they think is better.

Former Attorney General (under Barack Obama), Eric Holder, has now chimed in:

"Michelle [Obama] used to say, 'When they go low, we go high.' No. When they go low [according to the Democrats' definition of the term], we kick them."

So much, I guess, for even a modicum of civility...

What did she say that wasn’t accurate?
“Conscientiously believing that the proper condition of the negro is slavery, or a complete subjection to the white man, and entertaining the belief that the day is not distant when the old Union will be restored with slavery nationally declared to be the proper condition of all of African descent, and in view of the future harmony and progress of all the States of America, I have been induced to issue this address, so that there may be no misunderstanding in the future”

"Hillary Clinton now says that civility is a passe concept: 'You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about.'"

But what liberals generally stand for is destroying the traditional past and replacing it with some unknowable future.
Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire. ― Gustav Mahler

Hillary Clinton is being breathtakingly hypocritical and irresponsible with her comments, as is Eric Holder. They are knowingly and willingly contributing to the division in the country in hopes that if they succeed they will look like the inspiration. We need to do better than this.
