It would help if there were clearer differences between how the two main parties actually govern (as opposed to what they say). That way citizens would have something tangible to judge- which one they think is better.

Trump makes a difference. That's enough for now. He seems to be putting some backbone into Republicans. He wouldn't cave on Kavanaugh(probably didn't consider it) so the Republicans didn't.

I hope he doesn't cave on Dec 8 about the spending. I hope.

Back to the topic of this thread, I think it’s possibly the greatest irony in political history that Hillary Clinton is lecturing anyone on the need for civility. Ask Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick, Monica Lewinski and Kathleen Wiley about how civil she was with them.

It’s incredible. This is a woman who led an operation to destroy the lives of women who were victims of her husband. And she wants to lecture anyone about civility? Really?

But Trump could get it started by cutting this spending deficit by half. He can't get it all but he could try to get something. So far, he has been a disappointment in that.
