Trish, NOBODY here has said that.

What people have said is that accusations, regardless of who makes them are only accusations and should not be taken as fact unless and until evidence supporting those accusations is presented.

In Kavanugh's case, he was tried and convicted by the Left without a shred of evidence against him. That wasn't right. The presumption of innocence is a major part of the foundation of our system of justice. That needs to apply not just to things like theft or murder. It also needs to apply to crimes like ones of which Kavanaugh was accused. He was denied that. Because people always remember the accusation regardless of the outcome, he will be forever tainted by this. That kid in the article cited by Mr. Utley will be forever tainted. It is not right.

Yeah, maybe you're right. Now is the perfect time to introduce this hot button issue into the discussion. It's not like it's a controversial issue right now that is dividing people....... (I'm being sarcastic - smirk)

My point is if you're really interested in having a discussion then maybe it's best to wait until the hostility has decreased. Otherwise, it's just stoking the fire for a purpose.

Keep in mind, women are master manipulators. It's in the mother/daughter handbook under Survival Techniques. hahahahaha

But respecting the right of women to report assaults and rapes does need to be tempered with good judgment. Clearly, in this case, the girls did not do that.

Now is the time to discuss and get it right.

I disagree. We are coming off a contentious hearing in which the GOP disregarded corroborating witnesses to Mr. Kavanaugh's mis-truth's under oath. People.....women, are upset and do not feel like the GOP....men, take them seriously,

This was posted to provide an example of the worst case scenario to support Mr. Trump's current talking points that all women claiming sexual assault are liars. Men are the victims and that women should think about their sons over their daughter's lies.

There is a take away here and it's extremely important.

My version is how many women see what happened last week and I dare say this article. Now, you can take Dave's version, the man's version or you can take my interpretation as a women.

    It's really that simple.

Had this article been posted any other time, the point you are suggesting Dave was trying to make, would have been viewed completely different.

He's a lawyer. A darn good one I suspect since his name is on the door. I'm pretty sure he's smart enough to know everything I just laid out.

    There were not corroborating witnesses.
    There were no mistruths.

I SAID, how women see it. It doesn't matter what the truth is. You of all people should understand that. Perception matters.

    No. You said:

"I disagree. We are coming off a contentious hearing in which the GOP disregarded corroborating witnesses to Mr. Kavanaugh's mis-truth's under oath. People.....women, are upset and do not feel like the GOP....men, take them seriously,"
I understand that women believe or act like they believe that this is what the GOP did. I think, though, that a percentage of women are getting duped by the media. Specifically, they are told this is what happened (which is untrue) and hence they believe it. My daughters and wife don't believe this. Another percentage are carrying on because they have to carry the political liberal banner. Yet a third are out there b/c they are paid to be out there.

    Yes, though, perception is reality.

It's like preaching to the choir. (shrug)
I don't know that anyone said all women should not be believed.

I imagine that I have prosecuted more sex crimes than anyone else here. I have seen it all. (I won most of my sex crime cases.)

"Women" don't believe anything. It amazes me that when it suits certain purposes women become the Borg. Women are individuals, believe different things and have a wide variety of opinions and positions. God I hate the left...

There is no "epidemic" of police shootings either but I guess we're supposed to act like there is because a segment of the population suffers from pathological delusions.
