Camille Paglia explains how in her travels around the world she's come to learn from upper middle class women that they are unhappy. She says they, feminists, need to stop blaming men. At the root of this unhappiness is a cultural change brought about by feminism. Men and women are working together, side by side, in constant contact with one another. For 10s of 1000s of years this was not the case, men and women lived in sepoerate worlds, each driving solidarity and support within their own world. The displacement, the loneliness experienced since this cultural change is also due to the break down of the extended family and the nuclear family forming an isolated, almost toxic, prison-like environment.
