I do have a moral position- it is fundamentally wrong to abuse pets.

I never considered much less want any sort of contract. States have animal abuse laws- enforce them.

I hope this idiot couple's neighbors shun them.

Like almost everyone, Mr Highground, I too abhor the abuse of pets and animals generally. You are attempting bait and switch, that's obvious. You've attempted putting words in my mouth, and basically opting to ignore the point I made and then made again, basically acting like what I hate in arrogant lawyers.

Like you did by claiming that I wanted contracts for pet owners to sign?

I will be watching for updates to see what the courts do with this idiot couple.

Yes, they seem well on their way down that slippery slope to hell, and you pushed them.

    I made no such claim.

Deciding it was a good idea to try to kill their dog with a pellet pistol is the sole cause of any problems they have. I pushed nobody. I also didn't mention hell. Rather I mentioned jail.

Yes, yes you did mention jail. I say let them go because jail won't do anything but make you feel vindicated for an act that's really none of your business. These kids are not a threat, at least as far as the information at hand indicates. They are stupid, and that isn't a crime.

They were going to kill their dog because it was an inconvenience.

    That is beyond screwed up.
