    As far as health care insurance applies, most of them were only covered by workers compensation anyway. Plus their sick leave and vaction packages were up to their individual employer.


    People in minimum wage positions have traditionally not had quality benefit packages.

    Even if they were full time employees? But then they likely would make over the minimum wage. In my first job I was only paid the minimum wage for 6 months.

    Yes, even if they are full time employees. Just you are full time, that doesn’t mean you have full health care insurance benefits.

    I never thought about it for the 6 months I made minimum wage.

    Although you can argue that lower enlisted in the late 80s made under minimum wage especially the infantry that spent so much time in the field, where you are essentially working 24/7 for 2-3 weeks at a time with short breaks in garrison. Then back out.
