Perhaps they are but no one really wants that on either side.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

China was brought up to demonstrate to you that 1) aid flows into Africa 2) China is heavily invested in Africa and 3) Africans have very mixed feelings about China due to their all too recent colonial past.

But how is that relevant to the immigration issues of various European nations? If China withdrew from Africa tomorrow, Europe’s immigration issues would remain as is.

My response was that aid flows into Africa and China is heavily invested there so obviously Africa corruption isn't the factor you thought it was. Moreover, I brought African perceptions of China into the discussion because those perceptions would be exactly the same if not more negative in Europe's case because of Europe's long colonial association with Africa.

Again, if the solution of Europe's immigration problem entails long term commitment and direct involvement in Africa then the colonial past most certainly is a factor.

They need a proper continent wide transportation infrastructure. Currently they do not and that makes transportation costs prohibitively expensive. Once they have that, improvements will come quickly.

I don't know anything about how China is operating in Africa. Perhaps they are making it clear to corrupt leaders that corruption and squandering of Chinese investment could be bad for your health. The West just tosses money their way and much never benefits the people.
