    Stalin? World wars?

    Wow.

I can only imagine some of you guys would be having a stroke at this point if this media corporation on another continent had done something like pass out rainbow bumper stickers.

Hysterical, in multiple senses of the word.

And where is your 'pledge pin', Wolf? You don't hate gays do you, I don't see a pledge pin, on your uniform.

I'd rather them hand out rainbow bumper stickers than 'encourage' you wear some badge to signal your support for one issue or the other. You couldn't possibly support this stupidity, Wolf? Then again....

Nazis forced demographic prisoners to wear badges also, for the same reason.

As long as we are forced to identify as groups nothing changes and don't tell me people aren't being pressured or forced to identify.

It didn't take very long at all for Godwin's Law to take effect in this thread, did it?

I guess perhaps I need to reread Churchill's 'The Gathering Storm' again. I don't recall badges playing a huge part in the Second World War occurring. And yes, I do remember about the badges Jews and others were forced to wear by the Nazis - so what? The sole similarity between that factoid and this story is "badges". Hey, the Boy Scouts wear lots of badges; maybe they caused World War II. Politicians are encouraged to wear American flag lapel pins. Wait a minute...did anyone see that movie Office Space? Now that I think about it, Jennifer Aniston's boss, the guy who wanted her to wear "more flair' had a suspicious mustache. The conspiracy is everywhere.

The only references I can find are the Daily Heil article, and the far right internet exploding, from Free Republic and Breitbart, to mumsnet! Seems a daft if well intended idea.
The BBC hasn't been a liberal institution for some time. Then-PM Cameron installed several placemen (and women) into the BBC news hierarchy which has since taken a sharp rightward slant. Pro-Brexit, Anti Corbyn/Labour, abandoning their charter requirement for balance....

Perhaps you could get @Dangermouse to explain this one, I believe that Member is from this country.

And then what happens should choose to not wear this 'badge', let's say you'd rather promote another issues you deem more important or that you think adding this to your email signature or wearing a badge is f'n stupid and your organization's leadership's political agenda rather than professional journalism?

What say you wish to promote motherhood, fatherhood? Let's assume you'd rather support starvation in Yemen like so many forum members here do rather than sexual orientation issues? Are you then labeled? In other words.....do those refusing to wear this badge get 'labeled' themselves?

Of course they so. Stalin used these same purge tactics, congratulations BBC. What a fckup up....news.....er…...liberal organization.

    Heil BBC.
News: Rich people paying rich people to tell middle class people to blame poor people.

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

No conspiracy Wolf, it's policy brought about at BBC leadership that I don't blame Dangermouse being mute on.

Does the badge wearer hold an advantage concerning employment opportunity, what 'stories' the reported is sent to cover or make up?

Potential employees coming to interview. Their initial email exchanges with the BBC includes signature lines in the emails of current employees, should they go to an interview, they'll see many in the halls and working about wearing their 'badge', that doesn't push an agenda. Someone really wanting a job in the big media conglomerate isn't going to wear this badge to further themselves.

A Ransom would think such an idea f'n stupid at a business so wouldn't wear a badge of any kind unless at a political rally, inauguration, Trump weekend in DC, or a walk on the beach. I wouldn't wear a MAGA hat at work, it's not appropriate. And neither are fascist badges.

Jennifer Anniston's boss? Some of us source actual policy and reality others....not so much. Wow.
