Let's see if you can go back and get the point I made.

It stuns me that people don't get this.

What's Trump's taxable earned income do you think? Couple hundred thousand? Taxable earned income, wages.

You know what wages are right? Flip a burger, get a paycheck.

Now what's his total income from all sources? Probably a little more than his earned income I'm guessing.

Now, how much earned income tax did he pay? How much total tax did he pay on ALL of his income?

I know, I've talked past you a few sentences ago.
The point is earned income since that is what income tax is all about. As far as investments are concerned that is a different discussion.

When Donald Trump said to protest “peacefully”, he meant violence.

When he told protesters to “go home”, he meant stay for an insurrection.

And when he told Brad Raffensperger to implement “whatever the correct legal remedy is”, he meant fraud.

    War is peace.

    Freedom is slavery.

    Ignorance is strength.

The point is, it's an easy, inaccurate way to point to something with limited materiality and say "look, the wealthy pay more taxes... blah blah" and it's mental masturbation because this approach doesn't factor in the materiality of the issue.

Great talking points for hacks, mental masturbation for anyone else who cares about reality.

Yet the wealthy pay the brunt of taxes and the dem politicians are never satisfied so what is the appropriate amount of confiscation?

It is relevant. If the top 3% of earners pay the majority of the income tax, should they pay even more? If the bottom 50% pay 3%, should they pay less?

It's relevant to the (not suggested in the OP) "fair income tax" question but the OP implies that the wealthy pay their fair share simply because of earned income tax brackets.

Look, I know you totally can't grasp this concept so it's pointless.

Yes it does, I have to disagree and heres why

If all I have is a quarter and I give you that quarter, I just gave you everything I have. If you have a thousand dollars and give me a quarter you gave me a quarter.

DG If I make 100,000 per year and pay 15% taxs and you make 10,000,000 and pay 15% of course you are going to pay more and you should.

A good portion of the 70% dont work at all therefore cant pay any taxs.
