Defense is a Constitutional requirement. Feeding you and keeping you entertained is not.

Whatever amount of money we spend on defense you have no right to wealth created by another.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.

Before you provide commentary on what the the defense budget should be in order to keep us safe, you should at least gather some facts.

This is why I'm so mad at Bill Gates:

He flushes BILLIONS of $ to a $#@!HOLE like Africa, while giving nothing to America where the need is so great! How much of Bill's product did Africa buy from him? Compared to America?

If someone is rich, that does not mean they are necessarily even admired. Those who are selfish are of several stripes. Those with wealth who cannot even help their own families because they were never generous.

Still others believe that some sort of compromise is possible. In my opinion, Social Darwinism may be appropriate in some situations, but not in others.

In a quest for great prizes, losing is the lot of everyone but the best of the best. If there is a competition, even the second best may be among the losers. If there is an election for a seat in Senate or Congress, even the second best candidate will be a loser. In a competition for a prestigious job, most are destined to fail. The vast majority of those who want to be inventors will fail. Most of those who want to become great writers will fail. Most of those who want to become great musicians or Social Media stars will fail. Many businesses will fail.

In one way or another, the vast majority of people are losers. Common people may laugh at a candidate who lost a chance to become a senator or a state governor, yet they themselves are on a much lower economic and social standing then the loser in question. Most people consider themselves exceptional, while in reality we are mediocre. For many people, even being average is an unattainable goal. In the quest for the elite social and material positions, Social Darwinism is appropriate 100%.

Social Darwinism should not have any place at the bottom of Social Ladder. Every Human Being is G-d's Creation. Every Human Being has paramount innate value. A Civilized Society ensures that no one loses food, housing, and medical care. In Scandinavia and Canada, all necessities of life are provided for everyone -- including many people who really can not work, and a few who "would not" work.

Even the worst members of Civilized Societies have Innate Value and Inalienable rights. In Scandinavia, Canada, and most of Western Europe, even prisoners have many rights. Running comfortable yet secure prisons is expensive -- it costs $148,000 per inmate per year to incarcerate a prisoner in Scandinavia and $151,000 per inmate per year to incarcerate a prisoner in Canada versus $14,780 per inmate per year in Alabama.

Unfortunately, USA is not a Civilized Nation. According to Wikipedia, 27 million people in USA have no health insurance, 43 million people in USA live in poverty, and 1.6 million people are homeless. In USA there are 44 million people with Mental Disability, including 9.8 million people with Severe Mental Disability. These people get almost no help. In 2012, US prisons and jails housed 356,268 inmates with severe mental illness.
Except wealth is passed on even if the genes, luck or ability to cover up crimes did not. Also what I call "reverse social evolution" will interfere with social darwanism in that it's all about offspring and the poor tend top have more than the rich
