When you need close air support, nothing beats the A-10.

And it is designed to carry weight. Alot of ordinance to kill enemy personnel with.

Low and slow. Move and maneuver. Dip and dance. The awesome A-10.

If it works, don't throw it away.

The A-10 has a superb success rate, with low maintenance to man hours of operation, compared to other attack aircraft. It is not a cash cow. And it completes missions. To let the A-10 die, would erode morale of ground troops in combat.

The A-10 is reliable. It is very dependable. And that's what the ground troops need.

The A-10, is one of the reasons that Desert Storm was so successful.

Go to Google images - Desert Storm Highway of death.
    Desert Storm A-10 Tanks.

Look at the pics. You will see why, the A-10 is much needed.
