    Our shrinking, overworked military can always bet on Old Faithful: Brrrt!!

    Bush41 wanted to retire her after she masterfully torched foes via G2A support in Desert Storm. Yes then Slick Willy did retire her, but... Bush43 brought her back out for '04-'06 showcase that put us ahead in those regions.

    Then Obama brought her out of retirement too for reminding bin Laden and his boys, what the score was. Oh, and now? ... lol ... Yes, Trump is about to take his turn/head on over to that infamous Tucson AZ boneyard. To blow the dust off of her;

    I remember the first time I saw one in action. We had always used F4 Phantoms for CAS, with the occasional A-1 Skyraider. The F4 was a great old workhorse and the A-1 was also pretty effective in that role.. One day, we got the word we had a new new bird online, specifically designed from the ground up for Close Air Support. We did a CAPEX with it for familiarization and when it swooped in low and slow and cut loose with its 30mm, jaws just dropped.

    ...I got to sit in the cokpit's titanium tub, one Christmas, and damn near ejaculated when they let me fire up that APU to let gun (no bullets) cycle run for 4-5 seconds.
