Those whom denounce identity politics hold onto their own identities. The only difference is that their identities have always been represented in all aspects of life, whether it be media, movies or politics. They don’t have to fight media narratives constantly to prove their humanity.

You are excluding people when you say "MLK was a win for blacks and decent whites, but a loss for conservative whites that wanted to keep the races separated." As you said elsewhere, that is your view of society, a view that is exclusionary.

To return to women and the feminist movement, the same was seen yesterday in Polly's post of a video interview of 3 feminists who likewise were exclusive of any view on the right.

The agenda in both is to demonize the right in order to exclude them.

All of which is extremely odd for anyone who claims to stand for democracy.

Nothing is stopping conservative whites from joining the rest of society, but their beliefs that the races should not be integrated prevents them, not the other way around.

The "view from the right" is a choice people make to be hostile towards minorities and women, don't be $#@!s to minorities and women, and the "view from the right" will be welcome.

Nobody needs to demonize the right, they are more than capable of doing it to themselves.

False narrative. It was Democrats who gave you Jim Crow. It had nothing to do with ideology, it was racism but racism is not ideological, not conservative or even liberal ideology. It was racism, however, that went much deeper than your superfical skin-deep racism.

In a way I can see what you're saying, but it's flamed emotionally by the #resistance. Kavanaugh there, for instance, is seen as a threat to abortion rights, the #resistance wants women to fear that, even though he's noo such thing.
