    Why not? The official language in America is English. As a municipality, catering to the entire voter base is their mandate. English signage should be a requirement for a license to operate.

    It's obviously a bad idea. There are 2nd and 3rd generation Koreans and Mexicans who don't speak or read the languages of their parents. Signage should reflect the official language of the country. I believe in diversity but not in segregation.

    I don't know why we should mandate English signage. We regulate too much as is. If I don't like the way a menu is written I can leave. I can also ask what something is.

    As for other businesses, I don't know of any that don't use English. If there are any, I won't go there.
