One either decides cases and controversies in accordance with the US Constitution, or one does not. The Constitutional Conservatives do. The liberals do not. Every justice should be a Constitutional Conservative.

We should keep in mind that regardless of their political persuasion, all judges take an oath to uphold the constitution of the United States when taking office. That means that when it comes to hearing a case, they take off their republican or democrat hat as the case may be and put on their judge hat and render a decision based on the US Constitution and laws of our great country. Red or blue wave should not be a factor in the system.

But it is. There are liberal Justices and conservative Judges. Sometimes you get a Kennedy who was powerful as the Decider. Hell, I never knew what he'd say. He, one man, decided that gay were allowed to get married. One man.
