Should Women Who Claim Assault Be Imprisoned?

Well our members tend to reflexively agree with everything Trump says, so let's try this new one:

At a rally in Indiana, President Donald Trump closed out his midterm campaigning by returning to the accusations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. ...“This woman came out and said she made up the story,” Trump said. This incited the crowd to go into an extended “lock her up” chant, which the president egged on by raising his hands like a conductor. “And they gotta look at the other ones also, folk,” Trump muttered. “Take a look at the other ones, folks.”
So what do you think? Should women be imprisoned for coming forward with stories of sexual violence?

What do you mean by "reflexively agree"?

It's not a problem of not having laws that can be applied to what these lying liberal $#@!s have done, it's a problem of rotten politics. If Kavanaugh doesn't complain, who then?

Whatever the applicable penalties, they should be applied to the max.

Only if found to have lied.

Women should be encouraged to come forward. They should be taken seriously. It should be made easier to investigate.

That in done in Islamic countries ```

But of course we think it crazy ~ harming women for reporting a crime ~ but for anyone who accusing another person ~ who is lying yes ~ bearing false witness is a terrible crime ~ anyone can be hurt or killed ~ by false witness ```

Wait...if she made up the story? I just want to make sure we're talking about the same thing.

A false claims if levied against say Kavanaugh would be intended to wrongfully ruin his career, reputation and life basically.

Isn't that pretty much what sexual assault and/or rape does?

    So... is sexual assault/rape imprisonable?

If a claim is proven to be a lie, then absolutely, should get double the sentence the accused faced. If there is uncertainty either way, then absolutely not.

Males have been Duke-lacrosse-teamed in the past and will be down the road. I don't see how to avoid fraudulent accusations other than good detective work and legal representation. Slap lying women hard with some punitive sentencing.

If the accusations are false, absolutely.

    When the information is false?

    You're damn right.

Just like if a rapist is convicted : he should surely pay the penalty.

You want equal rights, correct? Beware : they come responsibility.
