So, no answer on who we should blame? I am going to go out on a limb here and say we should blame the shooter for shooting and the venue for its failure to provide better protection to its patrons.
Kind of like Sandy Hook ... when Adam Lanza couldn't get-in to a Locked-Up and Locked-Down school ... so he simply shot out the window next to the Main Office door, reached-in and unlocked the door ... then commenced to massacre children and teachers ?

I don't know anyone else to blame either. I do think they should look into his history, PTSD, care afterwards and so forth. I have many friends that have serious issues since we came home, some are getting good care, some have mostly recovered, some have refused help and still suffer. Then there are others that have showed no signs or struggles, that is the problem everyone is different, there is no one way to handle everyone. To me it seems that people who got out right after they got home have bigger issues than people that stayed in for at least a short time, not always the case but it has been in many.
    There is no simple answer.

We know a great deal about how to keep people safe. That does include bullet resistant windows, doors, frames, and walls. We also know that having weapons immediately available in response to a shooting is the best way to limit the number of injuries and deaths.

If you want to go off on a tangent (your specialty) start a tangential thread.

I for one do not think we need people with M203 Grenade launchers on all for corners of a school, or anywhere else in this country........ Just for starts....

    No ?

Wayne LaPierre paid Asa Hutchinson $1 Million to come up with this bright idea in response to Sandy Hook ...

The NRA's New Plan for Even More Guns in Schools Doesn't Add Up

    https://www.theatlantic.com/politics...chools/316695/

The National Rifle Association, the ongoing lobbying interests of which primarily exist for the promotion of buying more guns under the auspices of "safety," has apparently concluded that the way to keep schools safe is to bring more guns on campus, with its $1 million task force suggesting Tuesday that the government change laws surrounding gun-free zones and make the NRA's estimated $6.6 billion pipe dream a reality.
