But there is a fine line between crispy and burned. The trick is to know where that is. My mother's bacon looks like it came out of a nuclear holocaust. Tastes like it too. Sorry, Mom.

Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

Buy your bacon unsliced - then you can have it "your way".

Today, per family tradition, we'll be having those little brown link breakfast sausages for breakfast/brunch and orange pastries. We only have the sausages twice a year - on Christmas Day and New Year's Day - because if we had them more regularly I would weigh 400 pounds. They are an extreme food weakness of mine, and I will eat about as many as you leave me in a room with.

    Tradition?

Asked my son what he wanted for Christmas dinner, he said burritos. So I'm making them fresh with from scratch refried beans and spanish rice.

Given the choice of Mexican dishes, I would go with beef enchiladas with red sauce and those black beans they do.

None of my mother-in-laws rat poison meatloaf today. Were having turkey, ham along with all the other crap that goes along with it.

Once I tell you that we agree to disagree there will be no more discussion between us in the thread so please don't waste your time continuing to argue your points because I will not respond.

I am making a red sauce out of those dried red peppers, I got one of those hanging dried pepper trees a few months back so I'm going to use them.
