I had chicken piccata, salad and homemade fettucini. Pannacotta with sour cherry sauce for dessert. No, I didn't make all of this after work. I attended a hands-on cooking class with co-workers this afternoon and that's what we made. It was fun, although the only thing that I learned in terms of technique (that I didn't already know) was an amazing way of taking the skin off garlic cloves. Cut the woody end off the bottom of the cloves and put them in the microwave for 8 seconds. Take them out and squeeze from the pointy end of the clove - the clean garlic clove just pops out. Added benefit - it takes the really sharp edge off the garlic.
