It is always easier to sell negativity than positivity. It is always easier to believe something is wrong, causing you to fail. Black leaders depend on this for their power. They can only influence the government and they are able to make a false claim that only the government can cure the ills of Blacks.
That society has changed permanently doesn't matter. I live in a neighborhood that no Black here could have afforded to live in 50 years ago. A Black also wouldn't have been allowed to live here then. Now, they are free to live here if they have the money and some do. But, the perception is that Blacks are being discriminated here persists. It's a shame but I can't see any change to that. The government can't force Blacks to live here in my neighborhood and I don't care whether they do or not.
Racial problems are no longer institutional but that doesn't matter. Racial problems don't have a solution. The solution was thought to be a generation away when I first went to work. It wasn't. Nobody sane would want to go back to Jim Crow but it's always just below the surface. There's a real shame. this post could be attacked as racial with no regard for what it actually says.
