Lack of intelligence? C'mon. We have voting machines here in Ohio. Machines. We have to walk up, put the card in the slot, and work our way through the computer screens and make our selections. Then, it walks us through our selections and we approve and it puts it on the card and then spits the card out. We then drop the card in the box. It take far more intelligence to do that than to check a box -- and this person couldn't get that right.

Insight to care? C'mon that is total b.s. This is about raw political power and you want to couch it in terms of "insight to care"?

Should it count? I don't know what the law is in Florida, so I don't know.

Why are the names in any particular order? I don't know what the law is in Florida, so I don't know.

Was it a signed ballot? Was it a filled out by a registered voter? Was the voter a citizen?

Maybe charge the people 1 % state income tax and you could have a modern ballot.
This was the state wide ballot. Every other county was able to read and determine how to properly fill out the ballot. The problem is not with the ballot, its with the low or no information voter.

How in the hell could you miss not voting for the Senate when that has been the topic of conversation for several months now?

Right, why must things be dumbed-down to the LCD?

I knew an officer in Korea who got her 2000 Florida absentee ballot- it came with the card and a stylus to punch out the chad. Too funny.

We've already done that. Some want things dumbed down to the lowest uncommon denominator.

Still, all we saw of that ballot was a few chicken scratch marks. What else was wrong with it?
