A Florida man was arrested after being found with a bomb chemical so volatile that Al-Qaeda has dubbed it “mother of satan.”
Jared Coburn, 37, was arrested and charged with manufacturing an explosive device and likely will face more charges. He was found in the possession of triacetone triperoxide, which is known as TATP, as well as other bomb making materials.
Coburn, who consented to having his home searched, told officers that he was trying to make a firework with the materials. The material was unable to be taken to the Sheriff’s Office’s disposal field, and is expected to be exploded underground
