My wife is a Baptist--and I have often attended Baptist churches, with her--yet I have never heard either her, or a Baptist minister, say as much.

Some fundamentalist Christian religions consider dancing to be sinful. The reason given--the only one that I have ever heard--is that the physical closeness of the couple stimulates sexual lust.

But I have never heard this in the case of the Baptist religion.

Note: It would probably be good to differentiate among different "Baptist" religions anyway--including, for instance, the Southern Baptists, the Independent Baptists, the Primitive Baptists, and the Free Will Baptists. (I am much more familiar with the first than with the others.)

Let me try this: there are church rules and there is dogma. One can be changed to suit any need. Dogma can't be changed. If you change dogma, it isn't a religion with any meaning.
