How Misguided Environmentalism Is To Blame For California’s Wildfires

    A case of unnatural environmentalism.

How Misguided Environmentalism Is To Blame For California’s Wildfires

...Article after article blames two things for California’s frequent fires: global warming and human action. ...

...Trump is right. Mismanagement and overregulation deserve most of the blame, but he should keep in mind that the federal government owns 57 percent of California forest land. This mismanagement is also not a result of a lack of care....

...California and federal agencies have mismanaged forests, not because they don’t care, but because they chose the agenda of environmentalists over commonsense forest management. The result has been deadly.

...For decades, environmental protection schemes have usurped common sense. For example, most fire ecologists say that the surest way of preventing massive forest fires is to use prescribed burns....

...Prescribed burns keep forests healthy by burning up the underbrush that accumulates on the forest floor and by thinning trees. Yet for decades the Forest Service has suppressed most fires. According to a California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection executive summary: “Land and fire management have in many cases increased fire hazard. In some shrub types, fire suppression appears to have shifted the fire regime away from more, smaller fires toward fewer, larger fire.”

Despite scientific evidence, the federal government continues spending more money on fire suppression than prescribed burns....

...According to a Reason Foundation study, another flaw in forest management is a systematic reduction in timber removal....

“There’s an old adage that excess timber comes out of the forest one way or the other. It’s either carried out, or it burns out”....

...Ironically, these ill-conceived environmental policies designed to ward off climate change have been the source of massive amounts of carbon dioxide pollution. A forest fire’s initial blaze releases 5.2. million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions, according to Forest Service ecologist Leland Tarnay. This is equivalent to the amount of emissions from 1.1 million passenger cars in a year....

Radical environmentalism is not misguided. Those people are not good people. They have done all they can to damage our economy. Their goal is the de-industrialization of as much of the West as is possible. They are accessories to murder by raging fires. California is home to radical environmentalists. California is getting what it richly deserves. Let it burn.

    Good job Sierra Club.

Well, these are state and federal officials, not radical environmentalists, though influenced by them, making the wrong decisions.

No. Bad people like the people in the Siera Club filed lawsuit after lawsuit. Idiotic judges, leftist idiotic judges allowed the lawsuits. Let California burn. California deserves a cleansing fire.

It is true, the Forest Circus is heavily influenced by them!
Everywhere you go you will see locked gates on roads, trying to keep the public out!Especially those with Mining Claims. And when a major fire breaks out, firefighters can't get in there to access the fires!Timber companies built most of those roads or utility companies. They are to be PUBLIC roads!Roads are blocked by huge berms of dirt by the FS!
And the BLM Bureau of land Management, rescinds valid gold mining claims, and takes them out of mining status and sells(or gives) claims to Enviro Wacko groups all the time!

These are PUBLIC LANDS which belong to the people, yet they do everything they can to keep the people out! Regional Forest Service Managers are like Ayahtollas, and make up their own policies to suit the enviro agenda!
Here in CAL, we call them "Tree Pigs". They banned the use of the tiny little gold dredges some years back, which decimated the little mountain towns that rely on tourism. The first big blow, was when the Spotted Owl decision went down in '89, and killed off all the saw mills and towns !
All of this was based on little to no evidence of harm by enviro radicals!
