    1. Politics played no role in Braylon being a bust. He was soft. Peppers is soft. They came from SCUM and sucked.

    2. It’s The Game week. It is wholly appropriate to bring all *ichigan hate in here (though I did say I hope he is ok).

    Every week I see completely ridiculous targeting penalties. It's worse this year than it was last year

    Agree with your point that the targeting rule calls are rather ridiculous in the way they are being enforced. Watching the Mizzou/Tennessee game yesterday there were several ejections that could only be deemed as bizarre. The underlying concept of the rule is valid but the execution criteria by the referees is all over the place.

    Players and coaches are frustrated also. One benefit of an appeal process is that the ejected player could potentially not be suspended for the first half of the following week's game. Which is currently part of the ejection policy.

    If a player is ejected in the first have his ejection is only for the remainder of the game. If it comes in the second half, he's suspended from the first half of the next game.

    Still the criteria for the penalty is clear, but the officials application is extremely inconsistent. I've seen a defensive player penalized because he was shoved into a QB by an offensive lineman.

    No matter how much you, hate, Michigan will always be rated above Ohio State. Always. Even the years when Michigan is mediocre, they're still going to be more popular and more profitable than the Buckeyes;

    And please, do tell, why on Earth would you support a post-game, appeals process, for targeting?
    How will that change the unfair, negative impact of the new Targeting rule??

    Something has to be done about these "game ruining rules". Now some games are not decided by the teams but the officials. They are ruining football.
    Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But I digress....

    No. It's actually a good rule.

    The thing is just being enforced clumsily.

    Michigan will never be rated above Ohio State. Ever.

    Because a targeting ejection impacts the availability of the player for the first half of the next game. That's why. It carries over. This would at least let them change the unfair, negative impact of the targeting rule if the call is wrong. Why stick with the game-day impact into next week if the call is wrong.

    The rule was designed to protect players, but the officials enforment of the rule is inconsistent and sometimes absurd.
