"Cult like" discussion? That's an odd anaysis.

From your viewpoint, Cliff, I'm guessing it would look odd.
From my viewpoint I see everyone around me telling me I'm going to hell for some reason or another. I can't be saved because someone knows the Bible better than I do, or I'm an infidel or some nut from Spain is telling me there's no heaven or hell.
Everyone is so insecure with what they believe and don't believe that they have to jam it down everyone else's throat.
Like $#@!ing kool-aid
Yeah.. cult-like is pretty clearly the right term.
my junk is ugly
I think you just want to argue and don't really want to know the Biblical answer. No you don't have to be perfect to be saved. It is unbiblical for a woman to be a preacher, He said the preacher of a church has to be a man with one wife and obedient children. He goes into great detail. In first Timothy chapter 2 He said Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
Then He brings it up again in Rev 2. So she rejects what the Bible says like Joyce Myers that stands there and tells lies. If she rejects clear teaching what else does she reject.
Now you can come back with another argument but I won't answer. I am not playing your games, it's clear teaching a woman should not be a preacher over a congregation.
I am sorry to get off topic which is off topic and get back on topic...anyway... the first church I remember going to was about .3 miles from Jone's first People's Temple. IIRC his church was on 15th and New Jersey and mine was 13th and Alabama. Weird huh?

The Bible also says to "Therefore... work out your own salvation with fear and trembling for..." And I could go into further discussion about that passage regarding the "therefore" and "for", but if we continue in this vein, the thread might need to be moved to the religion forum. Suffice it to say, it states that you obey and you work it out for yourself, with god working in you; it does not say to call out another's salvation or lack thereof.
