Can you explain his lack of notoriety, Tom Horn being such an excellent cowboy name for history?

Or maybe it's just me and my usual lack of attention to things like that.

I don't believe Horn was famous during his life. The big named Western personalities were.

I don't remember the movie, and whatever it was Tom Horn did, it didn't leave much of an impression.
